Brake ventilation

No need to slow down to cool down!

We manufacture first-class carbon brake vents in line with this motto.

Hardly anything is more annoying than when riding fails because of the brakes. But this is precisely the case if the brakes are not cooled sufficiently. The friction that occurs during braking, especially at high speeds, sometimes heats the brake disc up to 800 °C.

However, the performance of the brake system must be guaranteed, especially in motorsport. Slowing down to allow the brakes to cool down is not an option here. For this reason, appropriate brake ventilation is essential on the track.

Our carbon brake vents

We manufacture two components of a brake ventilation system from carbon fiber: air intake funnels and anchor plates.

Carbon air inlet funnel

The air intake funnels are installed in the front of the vehicle or in the underbody, for example in the bumper or in existing openings for fog lights. Here, the air inlet funnel takes in air while driving and passes it on to the anchor plate.

Our carbon air intakes fit the following BWM models:

  • E36 AG /M3 (different funnel variants)
  • E46 M3
  • E9X AG / M3 / 1 Series M Coupé (underbody air intake)

Brake cooling plates

The anchor plates are mounted behind the brake disk and transfer the cooling air flow, which is fed to them via a hose from the carbon funnel, directly into the brake disk pot. This allows the temperature to be reduced by up to 200°C.

Our carbon anchor plates fit the following BMW models:

  • E36 AG /M3
  • E46 AG / M3
  • E9X AG / M3 / 1 Series M Coupé
  • F8X M2 / M3 / M4
  • G8X M3 / M4

What are the advantages of carbon brake cooling?

  • Thermal conductivity

    CFRP materials have a higher thermal conductivity than aluminum. The heat can therefore be dissipated more quickly from the brakes.

  • Weight

    Brake vents made of carbon are considerably lighter than brake vents made of aluminum. Especially in racing, where every gram of weight can make the difference between victory and defeat, this is a decisive advantage.

  • Optics

    Of course, looks also play a role. You don’t see much of the anchor plates when installed, but the elegant look of the air intake funnels is definitely pleasing to the eye.

Tuning parts from a professional

The carbon anchor plates are available for E8x AG models, as well as E36 M3 & AG / E46 M3 & AG / F8x M2 M3 M4 and G8X M3 M4.

The brake ventilation ensures that the heat generated during braking is dissipated quickly.
The air flow directed by the carbon brake ventilation reduces the temperature of the brake disk. As a result, the pad does not heat up as much and a high degree of fading stability is achieved.

Our carbon brake ventilation is registration-free. If you want to be on the safe side, you can register the brake ventilation with our material certificates.
